MEET JASON AND JAVI
Jason first made his mark in the early 2000s with an art gallery in North Park, where he eventually crossed paths with Javi through a mutual artist friend at an event. At the time, Javi was screen printing out of his condo and Jason was printing from home.
Realizing their shared vision, they combined their skills to grow their clothing line and soon began printing for others as demand grew. They officially licensed the AKA business name in 2011 and opened their first space in City Heights in January 2012, running a boutique in the front and a print shop in the back. Jason stepped away from the gallery and Javi left his day job to fully commit to the business. By 2013, they expanded and moved operations to North Park, where AKA has been proudly rooted ever since.
